Recently, six departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Digital Transformation of the Textile Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Plan"), which puts forward 18 specific tasks in four aspects: the empowerment action of new-generation information technology, the innovative application action of new models and new business forms, the high-quality development action of the industry, and the action of consolidating the supporting foundation.
The textile industry is a traditional pillar industry, an important livelihood industry and an international advantageous industry in China. It plays a significant role in beautifying people's lives, serving economic development, achieving common prosperity and enhancing cultural confidence. The Implementation Plan clearly sets out the development goals for two phases: by 2027, the basic support capacity for digital transformation will be further enhanced, new models and new business forms will continue to emerge, and high-quality industrial development will be effectively promoted. The proportion of key business links of large-scale textile enterprises fully digitalized exceeds 70%. We will create over 150 typical scenarios for digital transformation, over 60 benchmark enterprises for digital transformation, and over 30 typical clusters/parks for digital transformation. We will also cultivate and promote over 200 typical solutions for digital transformation that are strong in demonstration and easy to replicate and promote. By 2030, the digital transformation of the textile industry empowered by new-generation information technology will have achieved remarkable results, further promoting the transformation and innovation of enterprises' production methods, business models and organizational forms, and realizing a leap in the entire value chain of the textile industry.
The Implementation Plan proposes to focus on the characteristics of the textile industry, systematically sort out important links such as R&D design, planning and scheduling, workshop logistics, quality control, and supply chain management, and provide reference for the digital transformation of enterprises through application examples in typical scenarios. Typical application scenarios of digital transformation in the textile industry mainly include process design, intelligent production scheduling in printing and dyeing workshops, precise material distribution, personalized clothing design, product quality traceability, and supply chain collaborative management, etc.
