In response to the demand for cultivating high-quality quality inspection talents in the textile industry, to deepen the educational philosophy of "promoting learning through competitions, enhancing practical skills through competitions, and facilitating job placement through competitions", to strengthen students' professional practical abilities, and to enrich the campus skills culture atmosphere, on June 23, 2026, Quanzhou Textile and Clothing College held the first "Quanzhou University of Textiles Cup" Textile Materials Testing Skills Competition. 

This competition is a practical operation-based assessment that lasts for 2.5 hours and is conducted for all students majoring in textile at the school. The event closely aligns with the actual job requirements of the industry, and is divided into three core assessment modules. These include fiber composition identification, yarn twist detection, and fabric warp and weft identification and density detection, as well as an operation standard scoring. It comprehensively examines students' proficiency in professional skills, operational standardization, and meticulous and rigorous professional attitude. 

The event fully demonstrated the solid professional foundation, proficient practical skills and excellent professional ethics of the students from Quanfeng University. After intense competition, a group of outstanding skilled talents were selected in this competition. A total of 3 winners received the first prize, 3 received the second prize, and 5 received the third prize.
